Job Description VMC Immigration is seeking an energetic, self-motivated, and results-driven Business Development Executive / Field Officer to join our growing team in Thunder Bay. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding the company's presence by generating new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and promoting VMC's immigration services throughout the region.This role requires a proactive individual who enjoys meeting people, networking within the community, conducting field visits, and representing the company at business and community events. The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets while maintaining excellent client relationships and ensuring a high standard of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
· Identify and develop new business opportunities through networking, referrals, cold calling, field visits, and community engagement.
· Generate qualified leads and convert prospective clients into paying customers by promoting VMC Immigration's services.
· Conduct regular visits to businesses, educational institutions, community organizations, employers, and local partners to build referral networks.
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, business partners, educational consultants, employers, and community stakeholders.
· Organize and attend marketing events, seminars, career fairs, and promotional activities to increase brand awareness and generate new business.
· Present VMC's immigration services professionally to prospective clients and explain available immigration pathways based on their needs.
· Prepare business proposals, presentations, quotations, and service information for potential clients and partners.
· Follow up with leads promptly and maintain regular communication throughout the sales process to maximize conversions.
· Achieve individual monthly and quarterly sales targets while contributing to the company's overall revenue growth.
· Maintain accurate records of client interactions, meetings, sales activities, and follow-ups using the company's CRM system.
· Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities.
· Collect client feedback and provide recommendations to management for improving services and customer satisfaction.
· Submit regular activity, sales, and performance reports to management.
· Represent VMC Immigration professionally at all times while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to company policies.
Requirements
· Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Commerce, or a related field is preferred.
· Minimum 1-2 years of experience in business development, sales, client relationship management, or field marketing. Experience in immigration, education, recruitment, or professional services is an asset.
· Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
· Proven ability to identify new business opportunities and consistently achieve sales targets.
· Excellent presentation and public speaking skills with confidence in conducting client meetings and business presentations.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while effectively managing multiple priorities.
· Strong networking skills and the ability to establish long-term business relationships.
· Valid Ontario driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle, with willingness to travel throughout Thunder Bay and surrounding areas for business development activities.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and experience using CRM software is preferred.
· Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
· Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
· Ability to work flexible hours when required for business events, seminars, or networking activities.
· Knowledge of Canadian immigration services or the education industry will be considered a strong asset.
· Fluency in English is required. Additional languages such as Hindi, Punjabi, French, Arabic, or Spanish will be considered an asset.
