We are seeking a Labour & Employment Associate to join a busy plaintiff-side litigation practice in British Columbia, offering flexible remote work arrangements and strong exposure to employment litigation matters. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated litigator with civil litigation experience who thrives in a fast-paced and client-focused environment. The successful candidate will work on employment-related disputes while collaborating with a respected litigation team across multiple provinces.
Responsibilities
Manage employment and civil litigation files from intake through resolution
Draft pleadings, correspondence, motion materials, and legal documents
Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and team members
Attend mediations, negotiations, and court proceedings as required
Maintain organized files and ensure deadlines are met
Deliver responsive and client-focused legal service
Qualifications
LL.B. or equivalent degree
Member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia
Minimum 2+ years of civil litigation experience
Employment law experience preferred
Plaintiff-side and contingency fee experience considered a strong asset
Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage urgent deadlines
