We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our finance team and oversee the day‑to‑day operations of our accounting function. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting compliance requirements, and ensuring the smooth execution of core accounting processes. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams and contribute to continuous improvements within the department. This position is based out of the North Vancouver Office.
Job Description
The Accounting Manager oversees the company’s accounting practices, maintaining accurate fiscal records, and preparing key financial reconciliations and reports. The role is responsible for core accounting functions such as project accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance. The Accounting Manger will report to the Controller and provide leadership to the accounting staff.
Job Responsibilities
The position’s responsibilities will generally include:
- Full accounting cycle and month end close
- Post and review transactions, including accruals and intercompany transactions
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and government remittances
- Lead, mentor and develop accounting staff; fostering strong communication and alignment between finance and operational teams.
- Maintain general ledger accuracy, including reconciliation of accounts
- Prepare month‑end and year‑end financial reports and schedules
- Work closely with the Business Services team to ensure completeness and accuracy of project billings
- Assist with payroll process and reconciliations, as needed
- Assist with audits and the year‑end annual review
- Support ERP transition and lead ongoing process improvements

Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- CPA designation preferred
- Demonstrated experience with full-cycle accounting, financial reporting under ASPE, and hands-on month-end management
- Solid understanding of internal controls, financial processes and statutory compliance
- Proficient in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills
- Experience with ERP systems; Deltek Vantagepoint and/or ADP considered a strong asset
- Experience in a consulting, service-based or project-based environment preferred
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- Detailed-oriented, accountable, self-driven, with strong interpersonal
