Employment Opportunity – Facilities/Maintenance Technician

In this role, you will oversee and execute the day-to-day requirements of all facility/building maintenance needs. This will include the inspection and maintenance of various aspects of the facility, including any repairs as identified and/or preventative maintenance. The successful candidate should have previous experience in facilities maintenance or be highly skilled with a willingness to learn the role.
What You’ll Do
- Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and minor repairs on warehouse equipment including forklifts, end riders, hand carts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules to ensure all warehouse equipment operates safely and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues with warehouse equipment and arrange repairs when required.
- Conduct daily facility and equipment inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and potential equipment failures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service logs, and inspection documentation for all facility equipment.
- Ensure all warehouse equipment complies with workplace safety standards and operational regulations.
- Assist with the setup, upkeep, and repair of facility infrastructure including doors, lighting, shelving, docks, and general building systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns to minimize operational downtime.
- Liaise with external service providers and equipment vendors for specialized repairs and scheduled servicing.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance equipment reliability, maintenance procedures, and workplace safety.
Who You Are
- Previous maintenance and/or general facility repair experience
- Experience maintaining warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, end riders, and hand carts
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and complete minor repairs
- Working knowledge of carpentry, electrical, and plumbing maintenance
- Skilled in the use of common hand and power tools
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and follow-up skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team environment
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on workplace safety and preventative maintenance
