Location: Nanaimo, BC (regular travel to Courtenay required)
Position: Part-Time (30 hours/week)
Compensation: $25.00–$35.00/hour (based on experience)

Position Summary
The Baseball Hitting Coach & Strength & Conditioning Coach will be responsible for delivering high-quality baseball hitting instruction while also coaching strength and conditioning sessions for athletes of various ages and skill levels. The successful candidate will combine technical baseball expertise with modern performance training principles to help athletes maximize their development.
Key ResponsibilitiesBaseball Hitting
- Plan and deliver individual and small-group hitting lessons.
- Develop athletes using sound hitting mechanics and individualized coaching strategies.
- Utilize performance technology, including:
- Rapsodo
- HitTrax
- Slow-motion video analysis
- Interpret player data and provide meaningful feedback to athletes and parents.
- Track athlete progress and adjust programming as needed.
Strength & Conditioning
- Coach strength and conditioning sessions in a safe and professional manner.
- Teach proper movement mechanics and lifting technique.
- Assist with athlete assessments and performance testing.
- Support long-term athletic development for baseball players and other athletes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe training environment.
General Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and build positive relationships with athletes and families.
- Collaborate with the Prime' coaching staff to ensure consistent athlete development.
- Travel regularly between Nanaimo and Courtenay to coach scheduled sessions.
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and strong communication with athletes, parents, and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of baseball hitting instruction experience.
- Experience playing baseball at a high level (college, professional, or equivalent competitive experience).
- Comfortable using baseball performance technology, including:
- Rapsodo
- HitTrax
- Slow-motion video analysis
- Strong communication and coaching skills.
- Ability to motivate athletes of all ages and skill levels.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
- Reliable vehicle and willingness to travel regularly between Nanaimo and Courtenay.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strength & Conditioning certification or relevant coaching certification.
- Experience working in a high-performance or academy environment.
- Knowledge of long-term athlete development principles.
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Compensation & Benefits
- $25.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
- Approximately 30 hours per week.
