Sonbuilt Custom Homes Ltd. is committed to high standards, strong values, and building projects the right way. We’re looking for a 2nd or 3rd year apprentice who is ready to step up, expand their skills, and contribute to a professional and dynamic work environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Carpentry & Site Work
- Framing floors, walls, roofs, and installing structural sheathing
- Building and stripping forms for slabs, footings, and small walls
- Assisting in concrete placement and vibration under supervision
- Installing doors, windows, hardware, stairs, trim, casework, and baseboards
- Using builder’s levels/lasers, layout tools, and reading residential plans
What We’re Looking For –
MUST-HAVES
- 2nd or 3rd year carpentry apprentice
- Your own tool belt with basic framing tools
- Reliable transportation to job sites and occasional supply pick-up
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of construction practices and residential building
- Basic knowledge of BC Building Code
- Ability to work with hand tools and power tools safely
- Understanding of layout, take-offs, materials, and job site flow
- Willingness to learn new skills and expand industry knowledge
