Job Description: AVI is currently seeking a door-to-door canvasser in the city of Calgary to engage homeowners in
the area about our upcoming underground fibre optic cable and infrastructure build.
Requirements:
Must possess a valid drivers license and will be responsible for providing their own vehicle for use in transportation to,
from, and within their designated work areas. Mainly Calgary
Willingness to learn.
Must be a confident person and able to communicate very well as you’ll be going door to door, approaching and
interacting with homeowners of all ages and ethnicities.
Must have the ability to use an iPad (Provided) and have a cellular device to hot spot the iPad off of. iPad will be used to
have homeowner’s complete digital consent forms that would grant our planning team the permission to complete a
buried work authorization form to present to the property owners in the weeks to come. The homeowner would then
have the opportunity to review the buried work authorization form and decide if they are interested in having the fibre
optic cable ran to their home at no cost to them for future use if they decide to use the service in the future.
Must be well organized and able to record and relay production reports to our team in the form of daily lists of
addresses visited as well as the outcome of interactions with homeowners.
Must possess and exhibit a strong safety acumen.
Must be able to work independently and demonstrate a strong customer service focus.
Responsibilities:
Show up on time.
Dress appropriately and for all types of weather.
Complete all Required Administrative Paperwork: Consent forms, BDO’s, time sheet, tour sheets etc.
Job Type: Full time – Seasonal
Salary: $18-$22 –
Schedule: Monday - Friday 11pm – 7pm; weekends when needed. Over time after 44hrs a week.
