Classic Signs is a family-owned sign manufacturer as well as service and installation company. We specialize in pylon signs, LED conversions, fascia signs, wayfinding, regulation and parking signs, vehicle (including off-road!) wraps and decals, window decals including frosting, stickers, and graphic design. We work with any and all signage mediums including vinyl, acrylic, banner, flex-face, aluminum, steel, corrugated plastic, and more.
We are looking for 1 individual to join our team.
What you will be doing
This role combines creative design work with physical installation duties. The ideal candidate is comfortable working on a computer creating layouts and also working in the field installing some small signs, vinyl graphics, and wraps.
Responsibilities
- Design signs, decals, banners, and vehicle graphics
- Prepare production ready artwork using Adobe Illustrator and related software
- Operate vinyl plotters, printers, and laminators
- Weed, tape, and prepare graphics for installation
- Install vinyl graphics, signs, and wraps on site and in shop
- Measure installation areas accurately
- Work safely on ladders and lifts when required
- Communicate professionally with customers
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Punctual attendance is required
Qualifications
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator required
- Experience in the sign industry preferred ( but not needed, we will train)
- Knowledge of vinyl installation and sign fabrication an asset
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift heavy materials ( vinyl and laminate rolls) and work in various environments
- Valid driver’s license required as you may be required to do installs out of the shop
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to communicate clearly and understand directions
- Must be fluent in English
