Job Overview
Reporting to the Vice-President as the Production Manager you are responsible to ensure kitchen cabinets and closets are manufactured in an accurate, efficient and safe manner. You lead and plan priorities and workflows to continuously improve processes, tools and machinery.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Providing ongoing training and development, supervision, and guidance to team members.

Promoting a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with environmental health and safety programs.

Ensuring proper storage, handling and relieving of inventory to ensure accurate on hand information is maintained.

Planning, organizing, and overseeing daily production activities for manufacturing.

Ensuring production schedules are met while maintaining quality, efficiency, and cost control.

Working with the scheduling department, monitoring job progress and adjusting capacity as needed and find solutions

Monitoring and maintaining efficiency levels against baselines established with Vice-President.

Overseeing use and care of machinery, technological tools, and production software.

Provide pre and post-sale technical support and consultation for customers.

Liaising with Quality Control staff to resolve quality control issues in a professional and timely manner.

Ensuring production and quality control processes follow company guidelines and providing feedback to other departments.

Essential Requirements

High school diploma, or equivalent.

Minimum 3 years of Production Management experience in a people leadership capacity, preferably in cabinetmaking, millwork, woodworking, or a related industry.

Strong knowledge of kitchen cabinet construction, materials, hardware, and manufacturing processes.

Valid driver’s licence and access to reliable vehicle.

Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams).

Experience with production and inventory software.
Preferred Qualifications

Training or experience in lean manufacturing processes is an asset.

Work Conditions
You primarily work on site during regular business hours. Work has exposure to noise from equipment/machinery and occupational hazards as well as dealing with inclement weather and dust. Overtime may occasionally be required.
