Job Summary
BC Drywall is seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Steel Stud & Drywall Foreman to oversee field operations on commercial construction projects throughout Metro Vancouver.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in steel stud framing and drywall systems, strong leadership skills, and the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. This is a hands-on position requiring a working foreman who can effectively supervise crews while also assisting with field work when required. The ideal candidate must be capable of performing layout and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise field crews to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule.
- Perform layout and accurately transfer information from drawings to the field.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Coordinate daily site activities with general contractors, consultants, and other trades.
- Plan manpower requirements and assign tasks to crews.
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Maintain quality control and ensure work meets project specifications and company standards.
- Assist with steel stud framing, drywall installation, commercial suspended ceiling systems (T-bar), and other field tasks as required.
- Work on the tools when necessary and lead by example to maintain productivity.
- Maintain safe work practices and ensure compliance with company and site safety requirements.
- Utilize Procore and Bluebeam for project documentation and communication.
- Participate in site meetings and maintain positive working relationships with clients and project teams.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of commercial steel stud and drywall experience.
- Previous foreman or lead hand experience on commercial projects.
- Proven ability to perform layout and read construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of steel stud framing, drywall systems, and construction sequencing.
- Must be a hands-on working foreman and willing to perform field work when required.
- Experience coordinating crews and managing multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with Procore and Bluebeam is considered an asset.
- Experience with commercial suspended ceiling systems (T-bar) is an asset.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
