Duties
- Perform maintenance and repairs on various types of heavy equipment, including but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, and loaders
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine the best course of action for repair
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment components as needed
- Operate heavy equipment for testing and diagnostic purposes
- Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to complete repairs
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Qualifications
- Red Seal certification in Heavy Duty Equipment Technician
- Proven experience as a mechanic with heavy equipment repair
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
- Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment a plus
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and diagnostic equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

- mechanical: 2 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Class 5 Licence (preferred)
- Journeyman (required)
- Trade Certificate (preferred)
