NU WEST Construction Products is a company offering insulation solutions for industrial/commercial, mechanical, metal buildings and OEMs and we are looking for a General Labor / Fabricator. The employee in this position has the authority to raise a non-conformance against any product, process or raw material that they suspect may jeopardize the quality system or the products manufactured within it. The employee has the authority to suggest that a revision be made to any part of the quality system and its related quality documents that may improve product quality and reduce the possibility of non-conforming product.
Full-time | Permanent | Day shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday)
Compensation: $22/hour
Primary Duties:
- Operate the necessary machines and processes as assigned such as laminator, band saw, sleeving to fabricate products such as but not limited to Insul-Wraps, Tank Wraps, Metal Building Insulation in accordance with production work orders and Nu-West product quality requirements.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the types of materials and processes necessary to use in the fabrication of Nu-West products as assigned.
- Support corporate and strategic goals by identifying and developing goals and implementing activities to achieve those goals. In a team effort, coordinate activities with related activities of other team members to ensure efficient and economical accomplishment of company mission and goals.
- Clean and organize general fabrication and warehouse areas as directed
- Use the appropriate material handling equipment to move inventory as directed.
- Assist with the fulfillment of customer orders as required.
- Other duties as assigned
Experience, Education and other requirements:
· High school diploma or GED;
· At least 6 months experience working in manufacturing settings, construction industry;
· Being able to read blue prints;
· Familiar to operate machines and power tools;
· Physically fit and comfortable with repetitive tasks;
· Being able to lift up to 100 lbs;
· Team player;
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
· Good communication skills;
· Can follow guidelines and instructions.
