We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Assist in supervising kitchen staff and managing daily food preparation activities
- Oversee food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Support food presentation and ensure consistency across all dishes served
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor stock to minimize waste
- Train and mentor team members in food preparation, cooking techniques, and service protocols
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new menu items and improve operational efficiency
- Serve as a leader during shifts, maintaining a positive work environment and ensuring excellent customer service
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally to uphold the restaurant’s reputation
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or food service environment
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Experience in restaurant management or hospitality settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food handling regulations, and serving standards
- Previous restaurant experience is essential; familiarity with the food industry is highly valued
- Excellent communication skills and ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment
