Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman/Woman Plumber to join our construction and maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in plumbing systems, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, including new installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks across commercial and residential settings. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding, and carpentry skills to ensure high-quality workmanship and safety standards.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and building codes
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints for various plumbing projects
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques to complete tasks efficiently
- Perform maintenance on HVAC systems related to plumbing components when necessary
- Conduct inspections to identify issues and troubleshoot problems using basic math and mechanical knowledge
- Assemble piping systems, fixtures, and related components with precision
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure proper integration of plumbing systems within building frameworks
- Maintain a clean work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times
Experience
- Proven experience as a Journeyman/Woman Plumber with a valid license or certification preferred
- Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, HVAC integration, and general maintenance practices
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry techniques
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately
- Familiarity with construction processes and heavy lifting procedures
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to plumbing work environments
- Prior experience working with schematics and assembly of complex piping or mechanical systems is highly desirable
