Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Form Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, and dismantling formwork for concrete structures on various residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This role requires a strong understanding of carpentry, concrete forming, and related construction techniques to ensure precise and durable results. The position offers opportunities to work on diverse projects that involve concrete finishing, masonry, restoration, and renovation work. Candidates should possess a solid foundation in hand tools, power tools, blueprint reading, and schematics to execute tasks efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Construct and install formwork for concrete slabs, walls, columns, and other structures using carpentry skills and hand tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine form dimensions and specifications.
- Operate heavy equipment as needed for lifting and positioning form materials safely.
- Install rebar reinforcement according to project specifications to ensure structural integrity.
- Perform concrete finishing tasks including smoothing, leveling, and sealing surfaces after pour completion.
- Use welding, caulking, masonry techniques, and flooring installation skills as required for specialized projects.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Assist in restoration or renovation projects involving concrete structures or related building components.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring quality workmanship.
Experience
- Proven experience in concrete forming, carpentry, masonry, or related construction fields is preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics reading, heavy lifting techniques, and the operation of power tools is essential.
- Familiarity with welding, flooring installation, rebar installation, and concrete finishing techniques is a plus.
- Prior experience with blueprint reading and schematic interpretation will enhance job performance.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely on construction sites is desirable.
- Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills in renovation or restoration projects involving concrete structures. Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
