Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Summer Camp-Lego Teachers to inspire creativity and foster learning among children during our summer programs. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about working with children and interested in early childhood education, tutoring, and teaching. The position offers an engaging environment where educators can make a positive impact while facilitating fun, educational activities centered around LEGO building and STEM concepts.
Duties
- Lead and supervise children through engaging LEGO building activities designed to promote creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork
- Develop age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate STEM principles and encourage critical thinking
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all participants
- Assist children with building projects, providing guidance and encouragement as needed
- Monitor children's behavior to ensure safety and positive social interactions
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and experiences
- Maintain a clean and organized activity area, ensuring all materials are used responsibly and stored properly
Experience
- Prior experience in tutoring or teaching young children is preferred
- Background in early childhood education or related fields is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of various ages in a camp or classroom setting
- Strong communication skills and patience are essential for success in this role
- Experience with LEGO or STEM activities is advantageous but not required; training will be provided to successful candidates
