Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Physiotherapy/Kinesiology Assistant to support our healthcare team in providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will assist licensed Physiotherapists in delivering rehabilitative services, ensuring patients receive effective treatment in a compassionate environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist physiotherapists with patient assessments and treatment sessions
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions
- Support patients during exercises and therapeutic activities, ensuring proper technique and safety
- Support administration of the clinic
- Billing & maintaining records
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment plans
- Help with the setup and sterilization of medical tools and equipment
- Monitor patient comfort levels and report any concerns to supervising clinicians
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and hospital policies
Requirements
- Prior community clinic experience is preferred
- Strong understanding of patient care procedures within a clinical setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practices
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Compassionate attitude with a strong commitment to patient well-being
- Relevant certifications or coursework in physiotherapy, kinesiology, or related health sciences are advantageous
- Knowledge about EHC, WSIB & MVA billing is an asset
Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour
