Convergency is a small business based in Brampton, Ontario. We are seeking a reliable and responsible Part-Time Driver with a clean driving record and a strong commitment to safety. Experience transporting children with special needs is considered an asset.
This is an Independent Contractor position.
Position Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for picking up children from their homes and transporting them safely to our centre, as well as returning them home after programming. The driver must prioritize safety at all times and maintain a professional, caring, and respectful approach.
All students are located within the Mississauga and Brampton areas.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport children between their homes and our centre
- Stay alert and attentive while driving
- Follow all traffic laws and road safety regulations
- Ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of students
- Maintain a clean, safe, and reliable vehicle
- Communicate promptly if you are ill, delayed, or unable to drive
- Maintain a professional and positive relationship with families and staff
Requirements
- Valid Ontario Driver's Licence
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Clean driving abstract
- Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Experience working with or transporting children with special needs is an asset
Schedule
- Monday to Friday morning pick-ups starting at 8:30 AM and afternoon drop-offs at 3:00 PM
- Additional transportation shifts may be required on Thursday afternoons
- Routes are within the Brampton and Mississauga areas
- Consistent weekday availability during morning and afternoon transportation times is required
- Additional fuel allowance may be provided based on the total hours worked
