JOB SUMMARY: Assists the Executive Director in the administration of the Kiwanis Garden Manor Assisted Living Community and the Kiwanis Village Seniors Apartments, including property management and accounting.
DUTIES:
· Processes financial information such as accounts receivable, billing and/or accounts payable by performing duties such as entering and updating records using a computerized system, making payments, posting general ledger entries, completing trial balances, following up on overdue accounts, and making decisions regarding related action. Identifies reasons for discrepancies and takes corrective action.
· Performs cash management duties such as receiving, recording, and balancing cash transactions, preparing and making bank deposits, reconciling bank statements, and maintaining and balancing petty cash accounts.
· Performs administrative functions related to property management and landlord/tenant relations such as rent collection, fee collection, security deposit collection, suite inspections, key assignment, bookkeeping functions, paperwork functions, and related record-keeping and reporting.
· Answers inquiries by telephone and in person. Identifies problems and takes corrective action.
· Monitors supplies. Places purchase orders with external suppliers, receives supplies, checks invoices against orders and goods received, stores and distributes supplies, and contacts suppliers to obtain and provide general information.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience
· High school graduation.
· Post-secondary education (certificates preferred) in office administration, financial management, or property management.
· Minimum of two (2) years of directly related experience. Accounts payable/receivable administration experience required. Non-profit financial administration experience preferred.
· Experience with electronic accounting systems; ability to use word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.

· Have the ability, tact, courtesy and patience to establish and maintain good interpersonal relations with tenants, staff, visitors and volunteers.
· Consistently act in a respectful manner, maintaining the spirit, dignity and individuality of tenants and their families.
· Be in good health, free from any communicable diseases, and physically and mentally able to carry out the assigned duties in the working environment.
· Be physically capable of carrying out significant amounts of lifting, bending, stooping and stretching; be able to operate related equipment.
· Be able to speak, read, and write English, and to follow written instructions.
Requirements
· Current and clear criminal record check.
· Records of immunization status, including a recent clear TB test.
Pay: $28.72-$30.71 per hour
