About Us
Squido Studio is a Montreal-based game studio whose titles have reached over 1M players worldwide. We're now quietly building something entirely new: an entertainment app powered by generative AI—a new kind of interactive content that blends watching, playing, reading, and creating.
We are launching our first closed playtest (100+ testers), and we are hiring the versatile, self-motivated leader who will build its community ecosystem from the ground up and run the field research to discover our true product-market fit.
The Twist
We don't know exactly who our primary audience is yet—finding out is your job. This product sits at the intersection of short-form social media, interactive fiction, and AI chat. It could land with Gen Z TikTok natives, romance and drama readers, chatbot power users, or casual digital creators.
Your mission is to recruit diverse waves of testers from online communities, observe how they interact with text and short-form content, and help us discover who this product is really for. As the community scales, you will also be responsible for establishing the operational playbook and hiring your own team of moderators and coordinators.
What You’ll Do
- Targeted Recruitment: Actively source and recruit 100+ playtesters from the digital corners where avid readers and short-form content consumers live (Reddit, TikTok, Discord fandom spaces, writing hubs).
- Observe and Report like a Researcher: Watch how users engage with the stories and content. Track who sticks, who churns, and what narrative tones (drama, romance, interactive fiction) they gravitate toward. Compile weekly structural insights and behavioral patterns for the product team.
- Build the Home Base: Set up, structure, and run our launch Discord server (onboarding, custom roles, moderation rules).
- Fuel Content Creation: Encourage testers to create, write, and share their own short-form content and narrative branches within the app.
- Scale the Team: Actively hire, onboard, and manage future community support staff as the platform grows.
You’re Probably a Fit If You...
- Are Obsessed with Stories & Media: You genuinely love reading, creative writing, and tracking short-form social media trends. You deeply understand fiction genres, character tropes, and online narrative format styles.
- Are Internet & Community Fluent: You live on Discord and Reddit. You have built or actively managed organic digital spaces (gaming, fandom, creator, writing, or romance communities).
- Are an Outgoing Social Chameleon: You can comfortably talk to, welcome, and read vastly different internet subcultures.
- Possess a Leadership Mindset: You are highly self-directed, structured, and possess the administrative maturity to interview, hire, and manage other community staff.
- Are AI-Curious: You view generative AI as an exciting new creative medium for interactive entertainment and want to help shape how humans interact with it.
- Write with Clarity: You write in a warm, engaging, zero-cringe voice, and you can turn hundreds of chaotic feedback messages into clean, actionable data for our development team.
