Job Summary
We are seeking a experienced, detail-oriented and organized Registry Clerk to join our team. As the face of our office, you will assist the public with a wide range of provincial registry services including Motor Vehicles, Vital Statistics, Alberta Health Care, Personal Property, Land Titles, Corporate Registries and Commissioner for Oaths.
Responsibilities
- Manage client records with accuracy and confidentiality (applying FOIP and Employee Code of Conduct in all transactions)
- Handle front desk duties including greeting visitors, preparing personal workspace
- Maintain organized filing systems both electronically and physically, closing duties including verifying Abstracts, VOIDS, Vital Stats (will be trained if unfamiliar)
- Provide excellent customer support and phone etiquette to clients and staff
- Assist with administrative tasks such as proofreading documents, organizing files, and managing correspondence (verifying own microfilm, creating your own packing slips, etc)
- Support bookkeeping and basic financial record keeping as needed (doing your cash out at the end of the day, personal balancing)
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all registry activities
- Collaborate with team members to streamline office operations and improve efficiency
Qualifications
- Proven clerical experience in Alberta Registries
- AB Health Care Certification Required
- CORES I, II or III not required but strong asset
- Strong computer skills including ability to type up to 50WPM
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Customer service experience with strong communication skills and phone etiquette, going above beyond problem-solving for unprepared clients.
- Ability to work weekends (must work 2 Saturdays a month on a rotating basis), week day shifts but be available to work until 6:30PM

Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
