We are currently seeking part-time and casual part-time Dietary Aides to join our growing and dynamic team! The successful applicant must be available to work a minimum of 4 shifts in a 2 week pay period, with 2 of those shifts being every other weekend.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Set the dining room tables with cutlery, mugs, side plates, napkins and condiments
- Portion menu items such as desserts, milk, juice, salad plates, follow therapeutic menu portion sizes
- Prepare sandwiches and special request items
- Serve meals to residents in a courteous and friendly manner fulfilling the mission of St. Joseph's Villa
- Ensure Ministry of Health Standards are met
- Prepare nourishment carts and serve afternoon snacks
- Wash pots, pans and small wares
- Clean dish machine and dish room equipment
- Participate in Departmental Safety Inspections when required
- Other duties as assigned
FORMAL EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS - MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
- SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED OR ENROLLED IN A FOOD SERVICE WORKER PROGRAM
- COMPLETED AN APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM IN THE TRADE OF COOK, INSTITUTIONAL COOK OR ASSISTANT COOK
- ENTERED INTO A REGISTERED TRAINING AGREEMENT IN THE TRADE OF COOK, INSTITUTIONAL COOK OR ASSISTANT COOK
- A CERTIFICATE OF QUALIFICATION IN THE TRADE OF COOK OR INSTITUTIONAL COOK
- APPROPRIATE SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE IN THE FIELDS OF INSTITUTIONAL, HEALTH CARE, RESTAURANT OR HOSPITIALITY FOOD SERVICE
- CERTIFIED FOOD HANDLERS CERTIFICATE IS REQUIRED
