Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician to join our veterinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients, supporting veterinarians, and ensuring a positive experience for pet owners. Prior laboratory experience is preferred to enhance diagnostic support and treatment planning.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures with precision and care
- Perform laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures to aid in patient diagnosis
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
- Monitor anesthesia and patient recovery during surgical procedures
- Provide compassionate patient care, including feeding, bathing, and assisting with mobility as needed
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of treatments and procedures
- Educate pet owners on post-treatment care, medication administration, and preventive health measures
- Support inventory management by ordering supplies and maintaining equipment cleanliness and sterilization
Qualifications
- Valid license as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or equivalent credential
- Laboratory experience is highly desirable to support diagnostic testing processes
- Strong understanding of veterinary medical practices, safety protocols, and animal handling techniques
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate pet owners effectively
- Compassionate attitude with a commitment to animal welfare and client service excellence
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
