The Manager, Financial and Administrative Operations is responsible for the accurate and timely financial reporting of the Facility Services department, in compliance with Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS), and ensuring effective budget management. The manager provides fiscal oversight, develops and implements financial controls, supports the multi-million-dollar capital project portfolio, and leads a team of six staff members. By aligning financial operations with organizational goals, this role contributes to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the department. The Manager participates in the Facility Services’ department’s management team and contributes to short and long-term strategic planning activities that align with Division goals and objectives.

Supervise a team of six staff members while providing mentorship, leadership, advice, and training on financial requirements and processes.

Ensure administrative compliance with Division policies and procedures and Collective Agreements for the department.

Liaise with other Division departments and act as a central point of contact regarding Facility Services’ financial and administrative operations.

Ensure departmental administrative records are adequately stored and kept confidential.

Identify issues and recommend solutions as they arise.

Support the Director, Facility Services with departmental administrative matters.
