Quick Shift HD Mechanical Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic with strong diagnostic abilities to join and become a leader in our growing team.
We provide Heavy Duty mechanical services which include CVIP inspections for both truck and trailers, general fleet equipment repairs and routine maintenance in the commercial trucking industry. With the expansion of our mechanical services, we looking to add CVIP license Journeyman technician to the team. This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys troubleshooting complex issues, working with modern truck electronics, and solving problems others can’t.
Technicians who enjoy diagnostics, problem solving, and staying productive in a busy shop environment tend to do very well here.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting on heavy-duty trucks and trailers
- Diagnose electrical, sensor, CAN bus, and control system issues
- Perform CVIP inspections on commercial vehicles and trailers
- Complete preventative maintenance and safety inspections
- Diagnose and repair engine, aftertreatment, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Use diagnostic software and scan tools to identify faults
- Maintain accurate service and inspection documentation
- Assist with troubleshooting when other technicians encounter complex issues
Qualifications
- Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with modern truck electronics and electrical systems
- CVIP License or experience performing inspections (preferred)
- Red Seal Certification (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and keep tasks moving without constant supervision
- Professional, reliable, and safety-focused

Signing Bonus
- $2,500 total signing bonus
