Position Overview
As a Carpenter at Northstone Concrete, you will work alongside an experienced team performing concrete formwork and related carpentry tasks. You will learn from skilled tradespeople while contributing to a range of projects from foundations and footings to architectural walls and stairs. This role is physical, hands-on, and suited to someone who takes pride in doing quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in forming and stripping concrete for foundations, walls, stairs, curbs and other concrete formwork.
- Work alongside the crew to complete daily tasks safely and efficiently
- Set up, assemble, and dismantle form systems
- Handle and maintain tools and materials on site
- Follow directions from the Foreman and Crew Lead
- Maintain a clean and safe work site at all times
- Perform framing and general carpentry tasks as required
What You'll Be Working On
- Structural concrete forming and stripping
- Architectural concrete forming and stripping
- Stair forming and specialized form setups
- Framing and other carpentry work as services grow
Requirements
- Minimum 2 year of experience in carpentry, concrete formwork, framing, or a related trade required
- Basic knowledge of concrete forming or carpentry techniques
- Physically capable of performing demanding outdoor work
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
- Valid driver's license
Assets
- Experience in framing or rough carpentry in addition to concrete work
- Familiarity with reading blueprints or site drawings
- Experience with multiple trades or construction disciplines First Aid certification

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
