Who We Are
The Church of the Redeemer is an Anglican parish in the heart of downtown Toronto, committed to worship, community, service and social justice. One of our signature ministries is The Common Table, a drop-in program dedicated to fostering dignity, equity and community for individuals experiencing homelessness or marginalization.
Description of the Role
Reporting to the Incumbent Steven Mackison and Board Chairs, the Part-Time Financial Administrator plays a key role in supporting the financial health of the parish and its ministries.
They are responsible for ensuring the accurate record-keeping of all financial transactions and preparing regulatory compliant reports for the Church of the Redeemer, Diocese of Toronto, external auditors and the Canada Revenue Agency. Collectively, The Church of the Redeemer (the parish) and its ministries (including The Common Table) have an annual operating budget of approximately $1.5 million.

You will work collaboratively with church staff, the Incumbent and external partners (including the parish's accounting firm and the Anglican Pension Office).
