We are seeking a results-driven Restaurant General Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional hospitality and operational excellence located in the downtown Toronto Harbourfront area-Confidential (If interviewed you will be informed of location). In this role, you will oversee all daily operations of a Casual Pub restaurant, Upscale Italian Restaurant and a small retail Cookie Bake Shop all under 1 roof! This includes managing staff development and guest relations to financial performance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a "hospitality gene".
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence & Guest Experience
- Maintain a strong floor presence during peak service to engage with guests and support the team.
- Monitor and audit food and beverage quality, service flow, and cleanliness standards.
- Proactively resolve guest complaints and use feedback to drive continuous improvement.
· Team Leadership & Development
o Recruit, hire, and onboard a high-performing team of hospitality professionals.
o Lead, coach, and mentor staff and all managers to foster a positive, growth-oriented culture.
o Manage labor efficiency through strategic scheduling that balances service needs with cost targets.
o Conduct regular performance reviews and provide real-time feedback.
· Financial & Business Management
o Manage the restaurant sales forecasting to ensure proper control of COGS and labor costs.
o Oversee inventory management.
o Collaborate with ownership on long-term strategy, marketing initiatives, and community engagement.
o Ensure accurate daily financial reporting, payroll processing, and cash control procedures.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce strict adherence to local health and safety codes, sanitation standards, and liquor laws.
- Oversee preventative maintenance for the facility and equipment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 3–5+ years of General management experience in a full-service or high-volume restaurant environment.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead large, diverse teams under pressure while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.
- Technical: Proficiency with POS systems (Push Management, Silverware POS)
- Certifications: Valid ServSafe Food Safety and Smart Serve certifications.
- Flexibility: Must be available to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
