Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and personable Hair Stylist to join our vibrant salon team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hair styling, exceptional customer service skills, and a professional attitude. We are offering chair rental, Commission options, or hourly rates.
Our preference at this time is chair rental for the ideal candidate.
Duties
- Consult with clients to understand their desired hairstyles and recommend suitable options
- Perform hair cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments with precision and artistry
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas and tools
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure client satisfaction and build lasting relationships
- Upsell retail hair care products and styling services to enhance client experience and salon revenue
- Manage front desk responsibilities including appointment scheduling, check-in/out, and answering client inquiries
- Keep abreast of the latest hair trends, techniques, and industry best practices through ongoing education
- Assist in maintaining a welcoming salon atmosphere by engaging with clients professionally
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Hair Stylist or Barber with a strong portfolio of work
- Excellent customer service and communication skills to connect effectively with clients
- Proficiency in various hair styling techniques including cutting, coloring, and treatments
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety protocols within a salon environment
- Ability to upsell retail products confidently while maintaining genuine client relationships
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage appointments efficiently at the front desk
- A professional appearance and positive attitude that reflects the salon’s brand values
- Valid cosmetology license or certification as required by state regulations
