Hawthorne Kitchens & Co. is a family business established in 1946 specializing in custom cabinetry and millwork. We walk clients through the entire process from initial design and material selections through renovations until final completion. We work with homeowners, designers, contractors and home builders to create beautiful spaces for our clients and their families.
We are looking to add an experienced cabinet installer to our team on a permanent full time basis (Jr position would be considered for the right candidate wanting to learn). The ideal candidate will specialize in custom cabinet installation including detailed crown molding and specialty parts. This person will be passionate about craftsmanship, woodworking, and finished carpentry- we don’t cut corners, our clients deserve our best.
Job Responsibilities
- Install made to order custom kitchen and bath cabinets including specialty projects such as custom closets, entertainment units ect
- Install cabinetry with finesse and understanding of proper scribe techniques.
- Adaptability to work on other jobs as needed within the company
- Assist with manufacturing as required
- Resolve client concerns in a professional manner (Defer to Project Manager when appropriate)
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of job while maintaining exceptional professionalism
- Additional tasks as required
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience preferred.
- Quality conscious with an eye for detail
- Must have experience installing detailed millwork in residential settings
- Must be able to ready and interpret blueprint and drawings
- Experience with woodworking equipment and handheld tools a must
- Excellent problem solving skills, able to follow a design
- Ability to lift heavy objects and handle prolonged periods of standing and moving
- Valid MB Drivers license
- Strong verbal skills (English)
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive hourly wage ($27-$35 based on experience).
- Tool and mileage allowance
- Monday - Friday work week. Overtime may be required. (No Sundays)
