Intermediate Technician

Our client, a respected and growing architectural practice, is seeking an
Intermediate Technician to join its collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technical professional who enjoys solving complex design challenges, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and producing high-quality construction documentation.
You'll play a key role in the technical development and delivery of architectural projects from design development through construction documentation. You'll collaborate closely with architects, consultants, and project teams to ensure projects are delivered accurately, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
The Opportunity
This position is ideal for someone who combines strong technical expertise with excellent coordination skills and enjoys mentoring junior team members while contributing to a diverse portfolio of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed construction drawings, technical details, and specifications in accordance with industry standards and project requirements.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, engineers, and other project stakeholders throughout all phases of a project.
- Collaborate with the Project Lead to manage material selections and technical design solutions.
- Identify technical challenges, anticipate project risks, and recommend practical solutions.
- Help ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
- Review technical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior technologists and technicians.
- Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented project environment.
Qualifications
- Diploma (DEC) in Architectural Technology or equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience working within an architectural practice.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and technical detailing.
- Experience coordinating medium to large-scale architectural projects.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in one or more of the following sectors:
