Pillar5 Pharma is seeking an experienced HVAC/Facilities Specialist to support the design, operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of cleanroom HVAC systems and facility infrastructure within our regulated manufacturing environment. This role will serve as a technical lead and owner’s representative, working closely with internal stakeholders, contractors, and external engineering consultants to ensure systems are compliant with GMP, ISO cleanroom standards, and operational requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and approve HVAC system designs, calculations, and drawings from external engineering consultants
- Ensure compliance with ISO cleanroom standards, GMP, and ASHRAE guidelines
- Evaluate airflow, pressure cascades, temperature, and humidity control strategies
- Support commissioning, qualification, and validation activities
- Act as the primary interface between internal teams and external engineering partners
- Review technical submittals, design changes, and deviations
- Support installation, commissioning, and handover of systems
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and compliant
- Support facility upgrades, expansions, and infrastructure projects
- Coordinate permits, inspections, and regulatory approvals
- Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, safety, and environmental regulations
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma in HVAC or related field.
- 5+ years of experience with HVAC systems (design, operation, or maintenance).
- Experience in cleanroom or regulated environments preferred (pharma, biotech, semiconductor, etc.)
- Strong expertise in airflow, filtration, and environmental control strategies.
- Experience with BMS/SCADA systems (e.g., Siemens)
- Proven ability to review engineering drawings and challenge design decisions
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and root cause analysis
COMPENSATION:
The salary range: $80,000 - $110,000 annually
