Jazz Artist Management Assistant
The company provides events and project management, artist career management and booking services for jazz musicians for Canadian and International jazz musicians. This position involves a broad range of duties related to event organization and promotion, networking, booking in the jazz music industry. Projects include JazzWorks Canada, Association of Performing Arts Presenters (APAP), jazzahead! European Jazz Trade Show and other international jazz conferences and trade shows. Duties include support to tour organization, preparing grant applications, research, data input and record keeping, client liaison and management, communications, marketing and publicity with a strong emphasis on Social Networking and office administration.
Computer skills..ie. Excel, Word. Strong internet facility and marketing product design. Strong communications and organizational skills. Knowledge of and ability to use Social Networking and social media tools, such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. A serious interest in and knowledge of music is required. University or College Certification in Music is required. Knowledge of jazz music ...a bonus.
Experience to be Gained in this job: Marketing, Administration, Risk Management, Audio Visual, Data Management, Communications, Grants, Programming, Volunteer Mgmt., Brainstorming, Protocol, Logistics, Entertainment Industry, Critical Path Mgmt., Client Liaison, Advertising and Marketing Product Design.
This position is long term and could involve additional hours.
