Horticulturist – Tree, Shrub & Perennial Specialist
Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Horticulturist specializing in trees, shrubs, and perennials to join our team. This role involves providing expert guidance on plant selection, landscape maintenance, and customer service within a retail or landscape environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, horticultural expertise, and a customer-focused approach to help clients create and maintain beautiful outdoor spaces. Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate trees, shrubs, and perennials based on their landscape needs and environmental conditions
- Provide expert advice on planting, pruning, fertilizing, and maintaining various plant species
- Manage merchandising of plants and gardening supplies to optimize sales and presentation
- Offer exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, providing gardening tips, and fostering positive shopping experiences
Requirements
- Proven experience in horticulture, landscaping, or related fields with a focus on trees, shrubs, and perennials
- Strong knowledge of gardening practices, landscape maintenance, and plant care techniques
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while providing outstanding customer service
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
