Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Fence/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with fence installation and various general labor tasks on construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a dynamic environment. Prior experience in construction-related activities and familiarity with tools and materials is highly valued.
Duties
- Assist with the installation of fences, including measuring, digging post holes, and setting posts
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate installation
- Perform concrete forming, finishing, and related masonry tasks as needed
- Support carpentry activities such as framing, cabinet installation, and restoration projects
- Apply caulking, painting, or sealing materials to ensure quality finishes
- Assist with plumbing, electrical, or masonry tasks when required
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite by removing debris and ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Support team members in various construction activities including flooring installation, tile laying, welding, or other specialized tasks
Skills
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Knowledge of construction techniques including concrete forming, finishing, masonry, carpentry, and electrical work
- Experience with caulking, restoration work, cabinet installation, flooring installation, tile laying, plumbing, welding, or electrical experience is a plus
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and perform manual labor for extended periods
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on safety and quality standards
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and adapt to various construction tasks as needed
