We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle freight with care.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate truck to transport goods and materials in the BC Interior
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment
- Plan routes to efficiently meet delivery schedules
- Maintain accurate driving logs
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while ensuring the safe operation of the vehicle.
- Communicate with dispatch as needed
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (Class 1) is required.
- Clean Driver's Abstract is required.
- Proven experience in Commercial Driving.
- Basic knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance is desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members.
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading freight.
- Commitment to safety practices and adherence to company policies.
- Must pass a criminal background check for employment.
