Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) to join our manufacturing team. This role is vital for maintaining and repairing complex industrial equipment, ensuring optimal operation and safety within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, with experience in industrial maintenance and manufacturing environments. Candidates should be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently or as part of a team to uphold high standards of safety and efficiency.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment across the manufacturing plant
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and control diagrams including PLCs and low voltage systems
- Perform troubleshooting using analysis skills to identify root causes of mechanical or electrical issues
- Operate and program programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure proper machine function
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for work orders, inventory management, and documentation
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks on equipment such as HVAC systems, boilers, welding tools, and other industrial systems
- Perform welding repairs or modifications as needed to maintain equipment integrity
- Assist with electrical repairs, including low voltage systems and industrial electrician tasks
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and inspections
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and participate in safety audits and training sessions
Experience
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance or as a millwright in manufacturing settings
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics, and industrial electrical components
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CMMS software is highly desirable
- Skilled in welding, HVAC systems, boiler operation/maintenance, and low voltage electrical work
- Familiarity with industrial electrician practices, analysis skills for troubleshooting complex issues, and customer service orientation when interacting with team members or external vendors
- Ability to read technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving abilities to analyze issues quickly and efficiently
- Prior experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on maintenance or machinery repair is preferred
Pay: $24.00-$40.00 per hour
