Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Attendants to provide personalized care for two individuals with disabilities and cancer treatment needs. This role involves supporting clients in their daily activities within a home setting, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, patient care, or senior care, and possess a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those in need. Duties
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication administration as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements and assist with feeding if necessary
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when required
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping and cleaning tasks
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare providers or family members
- Assist with hospice care needs, ensuring comfort and dignity at all times
- Support clients with dementia care by implementing personalized routines and safety measures
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice, or home care settings preferred
- Knowledge of patient care, senior care, dementia care, and working with individuals with disabilities
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility support
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to administer medications accurately following prescribed instructions
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and their families
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; reliability is essential
- Certification or training in caregiving or nursing is a plus but not mandatory
- Must be able to pass background checks and adhere to all safety protocols
