POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Store manager’s role is to oversee the day to day operations. Working on the floor, they are in constant contact with customers and staff. They are responsible for, but not limited to, ensuring the staff give great customer service as well as monitoring the financial performance of the store.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains store staff by recruiting, hiring, training, motivating, developing and encouraging individuals to become members of the team, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Manage staff though hiring, training, motivating, encouraging, and challenging restaurant & pub staff to provide excellent service to patrons. Discipline staff when necessary, up to and including termination. Consult with HR when needed.
- Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning tasks to employees, then following up on work results
- Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner notifying upper management when necessary.
- Implement and enforce established daily operating procedures to ensure store is clean, adequately stocked, organized, and well kept.
- Ensure all merchandise is stocked and displays are attractive, priced correctly, and displayed in a safe manner.
- Supervise and coach all store employees (including the assistant manager) according to company policy.
- Complete daily paperwork and computer entry in a timely manner
- Monitor cash over/short, inventory shrinkage, and drive offs daily.
- Conduct store meetings as needed with employees.
- Have the physical ability to perform all duties of a store cashier regularly.
- Follow and enforce all Company Policies & Established Procedures in the Policy & Procedure Manual; communicate these policies and procedures to staff
- Implement monthly promotions, ensure all POS advertising/signage is properly posted at the proper time.
- Communicate and perform all price change requests and mark downs / ups as requested by management.
- Enforce all safety and security procedures and report any and all unsafe conditions to your District Manager and/or the Human Resource Manager.
- Conduct regular Health & Safety Meetings and document with employees attending signatures.
- Report and process all employee and/ or customer incidents or accidents, following company procedure.
- Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
- Delegate duties and tasks to assistant manager, supervisors and clerks, to meet objectives and maximize resources
- Organize and adjust staff schedules as needed in accordance with available resources and labour budget
- Stay up to date on cigarette & tobacco legislation as set out by the provincial government
- Evaluate inventory levels and all supplier outdates
- Other duties as directed

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
