Spend your summer working outdoors at a stunning private estate where no two days are the same! We're looking for enthusiastic, hard-working Assistant Groundskeepers to join our team for the season. If you love being outside, enjoy hands-on work, and want to build real, transferable skills this summer, this is the role for you.
This is a great opportunity for a student looking to gain practical experience in landscaping, property care, and equipment operation, all while working in a beautiful rural setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with general grounds maintenance including mowing, weeding, and seasonal clean-up
- Support landscaping tasks such as planting, pruning, transplanting, and orchard maintenance and harvest
- Help maintain and repair irrigation systems across the property
- Assist with light mechanical maintenance on equipment such as tractors, lawnmowers, and trimmers
- Help fuel, clean, and prepare groundskeeping and recreational equipment for use
- Support pool and hot tub maintenance, cleaning, and seasonal care
- Assist with yard and shop organization, cleanliness, and general upkeep
- Help plan and carry out seasonal landscape, lawn, and tree maintenance activities
- Assist with recreational vehicle cleaning, servicing, and fueling
- Follow safety procedures and support current First Aid standards on site
Qualifications and Experience
- Some experience or interest in landscaping, groundskeeping, or outdoor labour is an asset
- Knowledge of basic workplace safety practices
- Able to perform physically active work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working independently
- Basic ability to communicate via email/text and use electronic tools
- Reliable transportation to and from work
