Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for staff and visitors. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where attention to detail and reliability are highly valued. This is to help clean and supervise cleans at multiple high end air bnbs in the HRM that are fully booked all summer
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces
- Use appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure high standards of cleanliness
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as trash removal, floor care, and surface sanitization
- Follow established cleaning protocols to meet health and safety standards
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
- Maintain cleaning schedules and document completed tasks as required
- Assist with special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning tasks as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning, commercial cleaning, or facilities maintenance is preferred
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and the use of cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks and basic facilities upkeep
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety standards
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties, including standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting light to moderate loads
- Prior experience in maintenance roles is a plus but not required
