About the Role
We're looking for a motivated Staff Accountant or CPA Candidate who wants to build a career in public accounting while working with a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses across Ontario.
This position provides exposure to a variety of accounting, assurance, and tax engagements while working alongside experienced professionals who value learning, accountability, and teamwork.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing year-end engagements and supporting working papers
- Assisting with corporate and personal tax engagements
- Researching accounting and tax matters
- Managing assigned deadlines and priorities
- Communicating professionally with clients and team members
- Contributing ideas that improve workflows and client service
- Taking ownership of assigned work and seeing it through to completion

What We're Looking For

Qualifications include:
- Accounting diploma or degree
- Interest in pursuing or completing the CPA designation
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Professional written and verbal communication
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Commitment to reliability, accountability, and client service
Experience with cloud accounting and practice management software is considered an asset. This may include platforms such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Caseware, TaxPrep, Dext, Wagepoint, Jobber, Fathom, MoneyThumb, iFirm, or similar applications.
