Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a smooth and efficient dental office environment. Duties
- Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including preparing instruments and materials
- Document patient information accurately using dental software such as Dentrix
- Manage patient appointments, follow-up care, and treatment plans
- Ensure the sterilization and proper handling of dental instruments and equipment
- Support pediatric patients with gentle care and effective communication
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinical environment
- Collaborate with the dental team to improve patient experience and office efficiency
Skills
- Proficiency with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations
- Experience with dental assisting tasks is advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to patient comfort and safety
Pay: $60.00-$62.00 per hour
