Overview
Weir Construction is hiring experienced Class 1 drivers to haul frac sand with Super B hopper trailers. This is an Alberta-wide long-haul position suited to drivers living anywhere in the province, since the work is performed from the truck’s sleeper and does not require relocation. Drivers complete their shifts and resets at the Grande Prairie yard, which serves as the operational base. The role offers steady, year-round work with competitive pay and benefits and is carried out in brand new trucks that are fully equipped for comfort.
What we are looking for
- Minimum 3 years Class 1A experience (10+ years preferred)
- Minimum 2 years Super B driving experience
- Valid safety certifications: CSO, ODA, First Aid with BC Endorsement, and H2S Alive
- Off-road driving experience
- Proficiency with Motive ELD system
- Ability to work extended shifts and in varying weather conditions
- Clean driving record – no DUIs, distracted driving, or major infractions
- Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
