Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating transportation activities, managing freight shipments, and ensuring efficient communication across various departments. This role is essential in maintaining smooth operations within our supply chain and logistics processes, supporting both internal teams and external partners. The Dispatcher will utilize advanced transportation management systems and data entry skills to optimize routing and delivery schedules, contributing to the overall success of our logistics operations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule freight shipments using Transportation Management Systems
- Manage shipping & receiving activities, ensuring timely dispatch and delivery of goods.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and warehouse staff via multi-line phone systems and phone etiquette to relay instructions and updates.
- Monitor freight movements, troubleshoot issues, and provide real-time analysis to resolve delays or disruptions.
- Maintain accurate data entry related to shipments, delivery statuses, and inventory updates.
- Analyze shipping data to identify opportunities for process improvements within the supply chain.
- Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and safety standards during all dispatch activities.
- Assist with documentation related to freight, shipping & receiving records, and other logistical reports.
Requirements
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is the standard baseline. A college diploma or university degree in business, logistics, or supply chain management is considered a major asset.
- Experience: Most employers look for 1 to 2 years of experience in trucking dispatch, logistics routing, or fast-paced customer service.
- Geography: High proficiency in mapping, regional navigation, and cross-border shipping lanes (such as Canada-wide and US lanes)

Pay: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
