Duties
- Prepare a variety of dishes using the tandoor oven, including breads, meats, vegetables, and specialty items with precision and flair
- Supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Oversee food handling procedures to maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health regulations
- Manage food inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage to minimize waste
- Lead team management efforts by training new staff and fostering a collaborative work environment
- Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation during service hours
- Ensure adherence to restaurant management policies and uphold excellent food service standards
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service within the food industry or hospitality sector
- Supervising experience with team management skills to lead kitchen staff effectively
- Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in a restaurant or kitchen setting
- Excellent understanding of restaurant management principles and operational workflows
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Passion for culinary arts with a focus on authentic Indian cuisine and tandoor cooking techniques
