About the Role
Tova Home Care is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Respite Caregiver to provide high-quality support for a client living with dementia. This role is designed to provide families with peace of mind while ensuring the client remains safe, engaged, and comfortable in a home setting.

Key Responsibilities
- Specialized Support: Provide attentive care tailored to the needs of a client with dementia, focusing on safety and emotional well-being.
- Engagement: Lead meaningful activities that promote cognitive stimulation and social interaction.
- Daily Assistance: Help with light meal preparation, mobility support, and personal care as required.
- Respite Relief: Act as a reliable presence to allow family caregivers necessary time away.
- Reporting: Maintain clear communication regarding the client’s status or any changes in behavior during the shift.
What We’re Looking For
- Dementia Experience: Proven experience working with individuals with Alzheimer’s or dementia is highly preferred.
- Certifications: Health Care Aide (HCA) certificate or equivalent experience is an asset.
- Reliability: Since this is a dedicated weekend shift, punctuality and consistency are essential.
- Compassion: A natural ability to remain calm, patient, and empathetic in a one-on-one home care environment.
- Clearance: Must have a valid Police Information Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search.
