Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete finishing, masonry, and related trades, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This role involves working on various projects including new construction, restoration, and renovation, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. The Concrete Finisher will collaborate with other trades such as carpentry, welding, and heavy equipment operation to deliver durable and aesthetically pleasing concrete surfaces.
Duties
- Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools, power tools, and trowels to achieve smooth, level finishes.
- Install rebar and formwork according to blueprints and schematics to prepare for concrete pouring.
- Operate heavy equipment safely for tasks such as lifting and moving materials.
- Perform concrete forming, caulking, and sealing to ensure proper curing and durability.
- Assist with masonry work, flooring installation, and restoration projects as needed.
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and blueprints to execute project specifications accurately.
- Conduct maintenance of tools and equipment used in concrete finishing processes.
- Collaborate with team members on site to ensure project deadlines are met while maintaining safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in concrete finishing, masonry, or related construction fields.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, heavy equipment operation, welding, carpentry, and renovation techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, formwork installation, rebar placement, and caulking techniques.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to construction sites.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on quality craftsmanship.
- Construction experience involving restoration or flooring installation is a plus.
