We are seeking a shop parts inventory, and driver to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in sourcing, purchasing, and picking up parts as well as manage inventory, support customer service, and ensuring smooth operations across various departments.
Reporting to the Mechanic and welding foreman, the individual is responsible for supporting daily shop operations by assisting with parts pick up, inventory management, picking up staff, general labour tasks, and other tasks assigned by management.
Duties
- Assist with loading and unloading parts, tools and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the various shops and work areas.
- Ability to operate basic hand, shop tools, forklifts and cranes.
- Support other divisions of the company as needed.
- Follow all health and safety requirements of Recycling Worx Inc.
- Assist with inventory management and parts sourcing to ensure availability for service and manufacturing needs
- Perform pickup and delivery of parts, tools and equipment
- Drive between worksites or facilities to assist in deliveries and tasks of the organization
- pickup laborers for shifts when needed.
- Support buying activities including purchasing and negotiating with suppliers to secure quality parts at competitive prices
- Provide exceptional service supporting the needs of foreman and management
- Maintain accurate records of parts transactions, returns, and stock levels
- Coordinate and optimize demand planning and ensure timely delivery of parts
- Operate forklifts and cranes or other material handling equipment as needed for inventory movement
Requirements
- Previous experience
- Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50lb)
- Strong work ethic and strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Valid class 5 drivers license with a safe track record.
- Familiarity with service and parts software is an asset
- Customer service experience is beneficial for interacting effectively with internal teams and external suppliers
- Self motivated
- Ability to operate forklifts or similar equipment is desirable
Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
