Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Salon / Social Media Assistant to support our beauty team and enhance our online presence. This role combines front desk customer service, social media management, and retail support to ensure a positive client experience and promote our salon’s services. The ideal candidate is personable, creative, and detail-oriented, with a passion for beauty and digital marketing.
Duties
- Greet clients warmly and provide exceptional customer service at the front desk
- Assist with hair styling and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Manage social media accounts by creating engaging content, posting updates, and responding to comments or messages
- Upsell salon services and retail products to clients in a friendly and professional manner
- Support retail sales efforts by recommending products suited to client needs
- Handle appointment scheduling, confirmations, and client inquiries efficiently
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness of the salon, including sanitation of tools and workspaces
- Support the team with administrative tasks as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
Experience
- Previous experience in customer service or front desk roles preferred
- Knowledge of hair styling techniques is a plus but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok is desirable
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage clients professionally
- Experience in retail sales or upselling techniques is advantageous
- Ability to maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in a salon environment
- A positive attitude, team player mentality, and eagerness to learn new skills are essential for success in this role
Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour
